1. Francine Ekyemba – Founder & Coordinator in Manitoba and Ontario.
Based in Ontario, Francine has over 10 years of experience in community engagement and nonprofit coordination among immigrant women. As Founder and Director, she oversees all national operations, partnerships, and donor relations. Her leadership is rooted in compassion and deep understanding of refugee resettlement challenges in Manitoba.
2. Rachel Bilebwa– Program Manager, Ontario
Rachel is an early childhood educator and women’s advocate with 8+ years of experience in skill development programs. She leads Ontario initiatives focusing on entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and cultural exchange. Known for her practical approach and empathy, she ensures Bright Mama’s values reach immigrant families in Toronto.
3. Mukuzo Judith – Wellness & Counseling Coordinator
Based in Winnipeg, Canada, Judith is a mental health worker specializing in trauma healing among refugee women. With a strong background in community psychology, she facilitates wellness circles, counseling sessions, and mindfulness programs that support emotional recovery and personal growth within both the Winnipegand Toronto hubs of Bright Mama’s Welfare.
4. Raham Dahir – Community Engagement & Partnerships Lead
Raham, a Somali-Canadian youth leader, brings expertise in building grassroots networks and securing community funding. She bridges partnerships with local institutions, city councils, and women’s organizations to strengthen Bright Mama’s reach.
5. Davis Onsongo – Communications & Digital Strategy Officer
Davis is a multimedia storyteller and communications strategist. With experience in NGO campaigns and digital media, he leads social awareness campaigns, website content, and online storytelling for Bright Mama’s programs in Canada and Africa.
6. Balqisa Bdiaz – Training & Skills Development Officer
Balqisa has a background in vocational education and entrepreneurship coaching. She designs training modules on handwork, home-based income generation, and cultural cooking, ensuring women gain practical and marketable skills.
🇨🇩 Congo Branch – Bright Mamas Orphanage & Welfare (Fizi, DRC)
1. Rajabu Mubulwa – Country Director (Congo)
Based in Winnipeg, Canada, Rajabu is a community mobilizer with over 15 years of experience in child welfare and rural development. He serves as the Country Director for Bright Mamas Orphanage & Welfare in Fizi, DRC, where he oversees all operations, supervises education programs, and coordinates international reporting with the Canada office.
2. Olivier M’Malangwa – Education & Youth Development Coordinator
Olivier is a former school administrator with deep roots in Fizi’s education sector. He leads programs focused on literacy, youth mentorship, and vocational training for orphaned and vulnerable children.
3. Jacques Kaluta – Operations & Logistics Manager
Jacques brings expertise in logistics and humanitarian field operations. He ensures smooth coordination between project sites, manages supplies for the orphanage, and supports cross-border reporting.
4. Eloge Lolonga – Community Health & Outreach Coordinator
Eloge is a nurse and public health advocate. He runs health awareness campaigns, coordinates local medical check-ups for children, and collaborates with international partners to improve healthcare access in rural areas.
5. Furaha Kakozi – Women’s Empowerment & Local Partnerships Lead
Furaha is a long-time advocate for women’s rights in Fizi. She leads programs empowering widows, single mothers, and caregivers through income-generating activities. Her passion and local credibility make her a trusted figure among community women.
